Webinar: The Riverfly Partnership - Latest Developments

Join Trine Bregstein from the Freshwater Biological Association to learn about the latest developments in the Riverfly Partnership. The network of Riverfly volunteers has grown to approximately 2000 across the UK, taking monthly surveys to assess changes in water quality by monitoring the presence/absence and abundance of key aquatic invertebrates. 2024 saw the highest survey submissions in the schemes history with 7832 surveys uploaded from across 215 catchments. Learn about the roll out of the two newest modes of monitoring; the consolidation works the team at the FBA have been carrying out for the last 18 months and how things have changed since the launch of the Cartographer Riverfly workspace. Trine also shares some case studies where volunteers are incorporating Riverfly Monitoring with other citizen science initiatives, to give a more holistic view of what is happening in the rivers they care about and want to protect. https://www.riverflies.org/ https://riverflydata.org/ https://www.fba.org.uk/
