This is the first of our new chalk stream restoration community of practice sessions, aiming to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experience amongst those working on all aspects of river restoration projects. We start by looking at the upper reaches of the chalk stream network where the variable flow regime creates unique and valuable habitats.
This webinar explores what makes these areas so special and highlights recent restoration projects from the Chilterns, Hampshire & Lincolnshire. In our discussions, we explore views on the stage zero concept and identify the factors that need to be considered to achieve the best outcomes for winterbourne and headwater stream restoration.
