Webinar: Chalk Stream species at risk

This CaBA Chalk Streams webinar takes a look at the work underway to secure the future of some of our most vulnerable chalk stream creatures.  Hear how Project White Hart is working to save the genetically distinct chalk stream Salmon from extinction, and how measures like cryo-biobanks can preserve unique genetic lines from species such as the native white clawed crayfish. One of the most unusual animals found in our chalk streams is the rare crystal moss and efforts are underway to monitor and protect it. Our final presentation will reflect on the award-winning river restoration project on the River Ash which ensures that rare and threatened chalk stream species have the habitat they need to recover and thrive.
