Around the country 48 local nature recovery strategies (LNRS) are currently being prepared by the local authority responsible authorities alongside other partners and stakeholders. Each LNRS will identify nature recovery priorities and map actions in locations where they are most needed and where they provide the best environmental outcomes. Together they will help join up national efforts to reverse the decline of biodiversity.
LNRS have an important role in supporting work on delivering improvements to the water environment, as well as managing flood risk, through the use of nature-based solutions.
