This page is where resources on improving equality, diversity, and inclusion across CaBA partnerships will be shared.
It is well known that there is a lot to do to improve equality, diversity and inclusion in CaBA and the environment sector as a whole. The CaBA National Support Group is working to help Catchment Partnerships gain greater understanding of EDI, share best practice and provide an opportunity to discuss the challenges faced.
Improving equity, diversity, and inclusion in CaBA is an ongoing journey, and there is still a long way to go to ensure that CaBA partnerships are representative of, and engaging with, wider society. Following on from a similar event in 2021, this webinar shared examples of case studies from across the Catchment Based Approach. The aim is to help understanding of EDI and provide achievable examples for catchment partnerships to learn from. There will also be opportunity to discuss the challenges facing catchment partnerships in this area. The webinar is organised by the CaBA National Support Group, with contributions from partners across the organisation.
Thanks to presenters and organisers at the February 2023 EDI webinar who made further resources available to share with catchment partnerships.
The aim of this session was to help Catchment Partnerships gain greater understanding of EDI, share best practice and provide an opportunity to discuss the challenges faced.

A range of information is available to help partnerships. Understanding community demographics is an important step in ensuring we offer something for everyone.
Preventing Plastic Pollution (PPP) is an EU INTERREG VA France (Channel) England Programme project which seeks to understand and reduce the impacts of plastic pollution in the marine environment. By looking at the catchment from source to sea, the project will identify and target hotspots for plastic, embed behaviour change in local communities and businesses, and implement effective solutions and alternatives.
As such, the project has examples of resources which have been shared with communities available to download and learn from. For more information, contact plasticsandsustainability@environment-agency.gov.uk.
We will keep this section updated with case studies from catchment partnerships and CaBA partnerships. If you have resources you are happy to share, please email us and we can add them for you.
