    Hi all,

does anyone have any good resources for analysing water quality? We get our results back from the lab and we can look at the Ammonia, Nitrogen and Phosphorous and know something is going on but often I can’t get any deeper than that.

I’d like to be able to look at the numbers and relate them to WFD and work out if it’s a septic tank, or a field full of pigs, or a groundwater problem, or if it’s actually good! The River Hun for example was a very strange mix of data and we’ve finally realised that it seems to be a groundwater problem – the local parish were trying to blame septic tanks and Anglian Water’s outfall but the data actually shows high N right through so now we’re going to test the spring water and see if it’s contaminated groundwater.

A course would be very useful, if anyone knows of any good ones?
